AOpen’s steps to comply REACH regulation
REACH Regulation-Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 18 December 2006 concerning the Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemicals (REACH), is a new European Union’s chemical regulation that came into force on 1 June 2007 and will be phased until 2018.
AOpen under study all REACH requirements and is committed to provide our customers with information about substances in our products according to future REACH requirements; and will restrict the use of environmentally-sensitive substances in products.
AOpen’s steps to implement REACH
Information on Substances of Very High Concern (SVHC)
AOpen is aware that Article 33 of REACH requires suppliers to inform the recipients or consumers with sufficient information to allow safe use of the article if a supplied article contains more than 0.1% (by weight per article) of any substance on the SVHC candidate list; and is under co-work with its suppliers to check and ensure that all SVHC are notified and minimized through every stage of the product lifecycle.
Notification
AOpen is aware that according to Article 7.2 of REACH, all article containing SVHC above 0.1% (by weight per article) and the total amount in those articles exceeds one ton per producer or importer per year which manufactured in or imported into the EU must be notified to the European Chemicals Agency by June 2011.
AOpen will take all appropriate steps to comply with this requirement, and will keep work with its suppliers to ensure that all SVHC are notified to the European Chemicals Agency if necessary to comply with this REACH requirement.
