AOpen | Waste Management
and Recycling

AOpen's commitment to providing total cleantech solutions shines through in the company's adherence to international standards for managing the waste hierarchy through the practice of a cradle-to-cradle production framework.

WEEE EN50419 Logos on All AOpen Products

As of August 2005, the WEEE Directive has rounded up the international community to attain consensus on much stricter regulations for lowering the levels of lead (Pb) and cadmium (Cd) in electronics. By deciding to devote its key resources through its Green Tech Labs (from which MoDT Technology blossomed) towards constantly setting green tech innovation benchmarks, AOpen continues to stay ahead of the playing field, serving a vital leadership role in the industry's realization of high-impact cleantech goals.

"The WEEE EN50419 crossed-out wheeled bin symbol indicates that AOpen products should not be discarded into municipal waste. Instead, customers should take advantage of their local safe disposal and recycling programs that have been customized for electronics. Customers may also choose to donate their old electronics to local or national charities."]

AOpen customers can find the EN50419 logo on the products themselves and on the product wrapping, manuals, warranty certificates and power cord tags.

AUDITING EXTERNAL and INTERNAL IQC, OQC PROCESSES

AOpen's compliance with ISO 19011 (both ISO 9001 and ISO 14001) standards comes about from the company's auditing practices of its internal IQC and OQC processes. Additionally, AOpen will audit its vendors from time to time, achieving the overall maintenance of green environmental policies that continue to help position AOpen as the global standard for green SFF and uSFF solutions.
